What is PoC and How Does it Work?
PoC or Radio over IP (RoIP) devices are handheld two-way radios that access cloud-based PoC services via the Internet. They permit both voice and video calling. When a user presses the push-to-talk button, the voice and/or video is converted into digital data. The compressed information is sent to the server and broadcast to all devices within the designated group or to a specific recipient.
By purchasing a data plan, you’ll receive a SIM card—similar to SIM cards used in cell phones—to install in the PoC device for enabled Internet access.
